Entry #6 Moving from Malaysia to America.

Image
When I was in Malaysia, I really wished to go to school. When I see the kids are going to school, I feel so sad and I think that I can never be smart like them. The president won't let me go to school because my parents are from another country. Even though I was born there, they still don’t give me citizenship because my parents are from another country. If I went to school, they charged so much money that my dad couldn’t make it. My parents were sad because it has been 7 years since I was 6 years old, looking at other kids going to school and I can’t go. So, my parents decided to move to America. On October 6, 2015, my parents are getting ready to move to America. I feel so scared to move because I thought that the people won't like me and I don’t know how to speak English. The next day, I saw my mom parking up the bags. I quickly ran to my best friend's house and I said goodbye to her, she hugged me and cried. I feel so bad that I will never find a kind friend like her

Entry#5 Mayhem

Allstate Insurance Company recently released their advertising commercial known as, “Mayhem”. This humorous and appealing commercial includes Dean Winters, also known as “Mayhem”, who acts as a bratty teenager driving in a pink SUV car. The trustworthy Allstate Insurance Company, founded in 1931, upholds their security by providing an example of a freak accident that could potentially happen. The commercial shows “Mayhem” hitting a parked car, and how Allstate is there to back up the owner of the hit car and let them know that they’re, “In Good Hands”. Allstate Insurance Company provokes humor within the scenes, overall advertising their well-known security, and credible aspects through their commercial, “Mayhem” to reach out to the parents of all teenage drivers. The humor within the commercial mainly appeals to the parents of teenagers or upcoming teen drivers. Dean Winters succeeds in the persona of a “typical” teenage girl driving in her pink car, distracted by her phone. It’s

Entry #4 Why Are Humans Evil?

Image
Why Are Humans Evil? We humans have a pretty bad history of inflicting pain and suffering onto each other. Racial discrimination global scale wars, terrorism, fighting over religion, etc. Adolf Hitler, who ordered the execution of some eight million people and was responsible for the death of many millions more was said by his secretary to have had an agreeable, friendly and paternal nature. He hated cruelty towards animals. He was vegetarian, adored his dog and was inconsolable when it died. So, how did Hitler in his mind justify his inexplicable actions in the case of the the Holocaust? For example the Germans were willing to exterminate millions of Jews in part because Nazi ideology taught them to think of Jews as subhumans as objects without the right to freedom dignity or even life itself. We often look to young children to give us hope for humanity. They're seen as sweet and innocent ones who have yet to be corrupted by the

Entry #3My handy pop

Image
Last weekend my we had a family gathering and everyone bring different foods. We all ate so much that I can smell my own breath. It really makes me so insecure to talk to anyone. Then I reach to my pocket and get my usual pop that I carry everywhere. As soon as I pop it into my mouth, the freshness makes my throat feel some icy cooling down with sweetness. The smaller the piece in your mouth the better your breath smell. The moment you have this little circle pack in your hand, you won't be able to stop yourself from putting it into your mouth do to the movement of those pieces that touch one and  another. It is all three different flavors in a pack. Each piece that you put into your mouth, you can taste all those three flavors which are watermelon, green apple and tangerine going around your mouth.  I get plenty of compliment because of the smell that comes out of my mouth every time I talk. This is totally amazing to describe where my handy pop makes me feel like myself again.
